Though the province was under the influence of Congress, yet the hearts of the people of this province were beating with Muslim League. The Congress won both the elections of 1937 and 1946, but in the historic referendum of 1947, the people of this province gave their historic verdict in favour of Pakistan and joined Pakistan Constituent Assembly. This article is an endeavour to disclose the possible struggle of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Freedom Movement from 1930 to the birth of Pakistan in 1947.
