Abstract

Pashtun Wali is a code of life of Pashtun nation. It is the unwritten social manual of the Pashtuns. In other words we can say that Pakhtunwali is the traditional lifestyle and is best described as a code of honor of the Pashtun people, by which they live. Scholars have widely interpreted it as "the way of the Afghans" or "the code of life of Pashtuns. Most of Pashto poets have described the values of Pashtunwali in their poetry. One of them is Abdul Hamid Mumand who has also upheld this tradition in his poetry. He has treated the subject of pashtunwali in his poetry in a unique way.  In this paper, the verses of Abdul Hamid have been analyzed in which he has described the values of pashtunwali.
