Role of Syed Atta Ullah Shah Bukhari in the Religious Movements of Sub-Continent (Analytical Study)

Abstract

Sayyed Atta Ullah Shah Bukhari had a remarkable past.He was born in the period of India,s history which the Muslims were going to be unaware of the role meaning of freedom.He played his religious role shoulder to shoulder with the other freedom fighters.He accordance with the political demands of that age.He explained real meaning of freedom by creating awareness and inciting hatred against the Brittish like the traditional scholars of the age,he did not regard it his sole responsibility to discharge conventional religious duties regarding mosque and rituals, rather he stepped forward and played his role as leader of national movements of freedom. This paper attempts to enlighten many aspects of his contribution towards religious and freedom movements of the Sub-Continent.
