Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought revolutionary changes in various fields, including language, literature, and education. The Pashto language, with its rich literary heritage and cultural depth, faces both opportunities and challenges in the era of AI. This study explores the impact of AI on Pashto language and literature, focusing on text generation, translation, digital archiving, and linguistic research. It highlights the ethical, cultural, and linguistic concerns associated with AI implementation, including the preservation of identity, intellectual property rights, and the authenticity of literary texts. The paper also proposes strategies for developing AI tools tailored specifically for Pashto, promoting educational use, supporting literary creation, and enhancing translation accuracy. Ultimately, the study emphasizes a balanced collaboration between humans and machines, ensuring that AI serves as a supportive tool without undermining the cultural and literary richness of Pashto.
