Ethics of Conversation in the light of Sunnah

Abstract

It is well known that humans are distinguished for their power of speaking which is a God gifted power and none of other living creatures are having it. It’s a great gift of Allah bestowed upon humans and this gift is great facility for humans as well as responsibility. So, the good use of this power with responsibility is very important but unfortunately, we are lacking politeness and good manners while speaking to others.   So, there is need of the hour to highlight the merits of conversation by promoting culture of Sunnah and by acting upon Sunnah. The conversational literature in the Prophetic Sunnah is based on great principles like uttering beautiful words, keenness to transmit the news honestly, avoid rumors and gossip and avoid all avenues that lead to poor communication between people. In view of the importance of this topic I have decided to write about the abovementioned topic.
