Abstract

Religious leaders, faith-based organizations, and communities play major role in creating health care awareness, reducing illnesses and in this way they are saving precious lives of humankind. They are the primary source of support, comfort, guidance in health care and social service for the communities.  Different religions and religious communities have been sharing health care information throughout the history to protect their own members and wider communities, which are more likely to be accepted by other health and medical sources. They are providing spiritual support during public health emergencies, pandemic and other health challenges. In this context, Islam is the most influential religion of the world that provides spiritual, moral and physical support to his followers specially and generally to all humanity on this important issue. Academicians are also part of this human oriented campaign.  We observe, a good number of thesis have been written in Pakistani higher educational institutions on this subject from Islamic perspective.
